At the beginning of the meeting, Board members, Sal, Stacy, and Jessica, were interview for KYMA to let the community know what was happening with the All Yuma Center. The news reporter, Dallis Ontiveros, stayed for the meeting. Here is the clip: https://www.kyma.com/news/yuma-s-lgbt-center-update-and-upcoming-projects/770113178
We discussed the upcoming movie night fundraisers and LGBTQ+ friendly businesses. If you have a movie you'd love to watch as a group or a company around town that has provided fantastic service, please add it to the Facebook Discussion page.
We have a shift of positions on the board! Doug Jennings has now taken the presidency! Ally Snow, thank you for your service and getting us started.
Our first movie night was a success with over forty people attending!
Our next movie night is I Can't Think Straight. We will be meeting on August XX at the Littlewood Co-op. Once again, the All Yuma Center will be handing out popcorn, drinks, snow cones. Everything is free! If you would like to donate, you may.
Call for Volunteers
The All Yuma Center wants to be part of the Dorothy Young Memorial Electric Light Parade. We need volunteers to help design and create the float. It's several months out, but we want to get started as soon as we can. If you are interested, please send an email to email@example.com with a subject titled "Light Parade Volunteer."
Our Fundraising Coordinator is looking for volunteers to help with our upcoming events and fundraising opportunities. If you are interested in participating as a committee member or volunteer for such an event, please send an email with a subject titled "Fundraising and events" and a description of what you are willing to help with. We have movie nights and festivals planned in the future, so we need YOU!
Dates to Remember
Our next public meeting is in one week, August 15th at 7:30pm in the Littlewood Fine Art and Community Co-Op.
Thank you for being part of our community.
All Yuma Center Vice President
